I was extremely saddened to hear that Rich passed away. I only learned Monday night that he was in Intensive Care. He was a great asset to the many fire associations that he was a member in. I will truly miss seeing him at Northern Central as well as FASNY functions. He was a super man! I would like to take this opportunity to thank his family, especially Carolyn, for sharing him with those of us in the fire service. My thoughts and prayers go out to Rich's entire family and all of his fire association friends.

We can't begin to express the sadness we feel over losing one of the greatest assets to the fire service and a man we were proud to call friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with Carolyn, Eric and the entire Webster family. We know he is in heaven looking down on everyone. There is not a single person that can fill his shoes - it will take at least 10 people to do everything he did.The respect he had across the entire state shows what an amazing person he was. May God wrap his arms around you all and give you comfort in your time of sorrow. If there is anything we can do, please call - we will be here for you.RIP Rich.

I will remember Richie as a kind gentle giant. I wonder if he ever said a negative thing about anyone. He was always positive and up beat no matter what was happening in his life.

My last conversation with him was during a political gathering. He impressed me with his understanding of the interconnections between the candidates, their parties, and the opposition.

He was just a GOOD PERSON.
