Hugh D. Fitzgerald
Hugh D. Fitzgerald, 63 of 14 Regatta Row, Syracuse, died at 3:47 A.M. Saturday, July 20, 2002 at VA Medical Center.
He was born May 17, 1939 in Ballston Spa, New York the son of the late Bernard Francis Fitzgerald and the late Florence (Sullivan) Fitzgerald.
He is survived by his wife the former Kay Thompson, two daughters, Kelly Leavery of Brewerton, NY; Denise Luker of New Hartford, NY; a brother Colin Fitzgerald of McDonough, NY; three sisters Anne Trontoski Elinor Tripp, Penelope Bennink; two grandsons Christopher and Joshsa Leavery.
He served in the U.S. Marines from during 1958 - 1962. A 30 year member of the CNY Softball Umpire Assoc., Past President of Jaycees, Former member of the Camillus Elks, Optimist and Republican Clubs.
Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, July 24, 2002 at Holy Family Church, Fairmount. With the Rev. James Kennedy officiating.
Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery, Camillus.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday at B.L. Bush & Sons Funeral Home, 10 Genesee Street, Camillus.
