Lyle S. Jarrett, 81, of 204 Crestwood Drive, Camillus, died Wednesday, January 9, 2002.

He was born in Syracuse. He graduated from Vocational High School in 1938. He retired in 1985 after 45 years as an industrial engineer at Lipe Rollway. He was a member of Fairmount Community Church, American Legion Post 1540 in Camillus, Syracuse Moose Lodge 625 and a 54-year member of Liverpool-Syracuse 501 Free & Accepted Masons.

He was an Army veteran of WWII. A son, Robert L., died in 1987.

Survivors: His wife of 59 years, the former Elizabeth Roberts; two sons, Douglas A. of Binghamton, James S. of Kirkville; four grandchildren.

Services: 1 p.m. Saturday at B.L. Bush and Sons Funeral Home. Burial, White Chapel Memory Gardens. Calling hours, 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home, 10 Genesee St., Camillus, with Masonic services at 7 p.m.
