Robert E. Mattis, Sr.

Robert E. "Bob" Mattis, Sr. 76, of 121 Bramley Drive, Camillus died Thursday, September 26, 2002 at his home after a battle with Cancer. He was born March 29, 1926 to Earl and Mary Mattis in Lowville, New York. He attended Lowville High School and Watertown School of Commerce.

Mr. Mattis was a manager in the International Division of Carrier Corp based in Syracuse. He retired in 1982 after 36 years with the company. He was communicant of Holy Family Church, Fairmount and its Holy Name Society.

He was pre-deceased by two brothers Bernard in 1991 and Donald in 2001.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years the former Phyllis Basker; a daughter June Clark of Camillus; two sons Robert Mattis, Jr. of Jamesville and William Mattis of Camillus; two sisters Catherine Kozloski and Elizabeth Allen both of Lowville; one brother Leo Mattis of Summerfield, FL; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren and several nieces and nepfews.

Services will be 9:15 am Monday September 30, 2002 at funeral home and a Mass at 10:00 am at Holy Family Church, Fairmount. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum, DeWitt, NY.

Calling hours will be Sunday 4:00 to 7:00 pm at B.L. Bush & Sons Funeral Home, 10 Genesee Street, Camillus, NY 13031.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of CNY, 990 Seventh North Street, Liverpool, NY 13088.
