Ruth Helen Rauscher
Ruth Helen (Gibson) Rauscher 89, of Venice, Florida and formerly of Skaneateles died Saturday, February 1, 2003 in Florida after suffering a stroke.
She was born in Buffalo and graduated from the University of Buffalo in 1935. Her and husband Dr. A.C. Rauscher lived in Skaneateles for 62 years before his death in 1997. Mrs. Rauscher was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Skaneateles, a life member of Skaneateles Garden Club, a past member of the Auburn memorial Hospital Auxiliary, a past board member of Skaneateles Central School District, a member and past president of the Woman's Golf Association of Skaneateles Country Club, and past president of Skaneateles Monday Evening Club.
She is survived by three sons, David of Corning, NY, Robert of Venice, Fl and Richard of Tampa, FL; two sisters, Esther Willoughby of Los Angeles, CA and Janet Watkins of Philadelphia, PA; and four grandsons.
Graveside services will be 10:30 am Saturday, May 10, 2003 Lakeview Cemetery, Skaneateles, NY.
