Patricia Sturdy Stepneski
Patricia Sturdy Stepneski, 81, of 2935 W. Lake Road, Skaneateles died Tuesday, January 14, 2003 at Community General Hospital.
Mrs. Stepneski was born on September 1, 1921 in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. She was a Real Estate Broker and former owner of Sturdy-Havemeyer Real Estate in Skaneateles until 1981. She was a member of Skaneateles Chamber of Commerce, Past President of Skaneateles Garden Club, a member of St. James Episcopal Church.
Mrs. Stepneski was a 1st Lieutenant serving in World War II from 1943-46 under 5203rd WAC Detachment, US Army Forces, Pacific. Where she received the Merit Service Unit Award.
She was predeceased by her father Frederick C. Nicolai, her mother the former Carine Landahl, her 1st husband Howard H. Sturdy in 1972, her 2nd husband Charles A. Stepneski, Sr.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Sturdy (John A.) Goldsmith of Los Angeles, CA and Gail Sturdy (W. Dexter) Brown of Bernardsville, NJ; one step-daughter-in-law Nancy Stepneski of Syracuse; four grandchildren, Ana Carine Brown, Jeffrey Howard Goldsmith, Dana Sturdy Brown, Theodore James Goldsmith and 2 step-grandchildren, Catherine Stepneski and Christin Stepneski.
Funeral Services were held at 10:30 AM Friday at St. James Episcopal Church with the Rev. Dr. Robert de Wetter officiating. Burial with Military honors was held in Lakeview Cemetery, Skaneateles.
Calling hours were 4:00 to 6:00 PM Thursday at the B.L. Bush & Sons Funeral Home, 77 E. Genesee Street, Skaneateles.
