Charles “Chuck” H. Duarte, 77, of Warners died Friday at home after a long illness. Born in Queens, NY he grew up on Long Island and served four years on active duty during the Korean War as Machinist's Mate 1st class on a Navy Destroyer and later served 12 years on reserve duty. Chuck worked for D&M Body Shop for over 15 years. He was predeceased by his first wife Beverly (Vollmer) Duarte in 1993. Surviving is his wife Cheryl Duarte; his sons Brian (Tom) and Kevin (Paula); stepdaughters Kimberly (Kevin) Speers and Lori (John) Searle grandchildren Rebecca and Samantha Duarte, Nicole, Bradley and Jarrod Speers, Shaun and Jessica Searle (We Love Grandpa Chuck!); sisters Marisa Conner, Bianca Corona, Carlata Duarte; several nieces and nephews; and the family pet Heidi. Services will be 11 am Tuesday at B.L. Bush & Sons Funeral Home, 10 Genesee St., Camillus. There will be no calling hours. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Hospice of CNY, 990 7th North Street, Liverpool, NY 13088. His goodness and humor will be missed by all.
