Leslie B. Carson

Leslie Carson, 66, of Jamesville, NY passed away on Easter Sunday. Leslie was born on June 30, 1950 in Utica, the third of six siblings. The small Utica suburb of Marcy is where Leslie's enjoyment of the outdoors, love of animals and intense desire to party and skip school began. She graduated from Whitesboro High School much to the relief of all her teachers in 1968. Leslie briefly attended FMCC in Johnstown, NY. That is where she met and married Steve Wadsworth and gave birth to her only child, Allison. Leslie was the kind of person who was your friend for life. The family of Ann and Roger Rhodes (and their three children David, Maureen and D.J.) of St. Johnsville, NY are just one example of that. Their friendship spanned 48 years. Leslie spent the majority of her life in Albany and the capital district where she worked primarily as a medical secretary for The Center for Rheumatology. She dedicated much of her time and energy to that job and thus developed lifelong friendships with many of the patients, her coworkers and her employers. She retired in 2009 and moved to the Syracuse area to help raise her grandchildren. She was an avid cookie baker, food connoisseur, gardener, dog lover and her grandchildren's biggest fan. She will be missed by oh so many. We are grateful for the time we had with her. She was predeceased by her dear sister Charlene LaGrange in 1993. She survived by her daughter Allison Wadsworth, her son-in-law Dr. Kwame Amankwah; her beloved three grandchildren Jared, Evan, and Phoebe Amankwah; a sister Cynthia Tomko of Albuquerque, NM; a brother John of Albany, NY; a niece Samantha and nephews Scott, Greg and Peter. Calling hours are 5 to 7 pm Friday at B.L. Bush & Sons Funeral Home, 10 Genesee St. Camillus.
