Marion E. Meyer

Marion (Elliott) Meyer, 100, of Camillus died December 13, 2020 at the VA Hospital in Syracuse, NY. Marion was in Weedsport, NY to Charles and Grace (Smith) Elliott. She lived most of her life in Camillus and graduated from Camillus High School. After high school, Marion started and operated a successful beauty shop prior to joining the Army Air Corps. Marion was a WWII vet who worked on combat airplane radios during WWII. She met her husband William while serving. Marion loved to travel and did many local archeological digs. She loved to talk about her special trip to Italy where she explored many cities. She was involved in the American Legion and the VFW Auxiliary and she spent a lot of time working as a scout leader for her children. Marion was an avid card player and lived to watch her Yankees and SU basketball. Marion is predeceased by her husband William, her son Michael (Shery), her brother Donald Elliott and sister Eleanor Kenyon. She is survived by her children William (Linda) of Cicero, Donald (Kim) of Kansas, Joelle of Virginia and Daniel (Patricia) of Camillus, her five granddaughters Beth (Terry) Mathewson, Wendy Meyer, Jessica (Daniel) Sheets, Sara (Charles) Pinto and Olivia Meyer and nieces and nephews. Her great grandchildren, who called her “Great Mother” are Kaylee, Paige, Jackson, Kate, Owen, Gabriel, Bryson, Makayla, Felicity, Lillian, Annabelle, Joseph and Lucia. Marion’s extended family includes daughter-in-law Shery’s son Nathan (Kristal) Quail and daughter Chanel Quail and grandchildren Jordann, Brooklyn, Trent and Kaitlyn; and daughter-in-law Patricia’s son Joseph and family member Shyanne. Services will be May 6th, 2021 at 10:30 am at B.L. Bush & Sons Funeral Home, 10 Genesee St. Camillus, NY. Burial with military honors will be held in Maplewood Cemetery, Camillus.
