Angelica "Big Ang" Ward

Angelica L. “Big Ang” Ward, 49, of Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly on February 13th, 2020 with family by her side while in Plant City, FL. Born in Syracuse, she graduated from West Genesee in 1988 and later from CCBI. She worked for Wheelock Rides her entire life. She was a jack of all trades and a Warden to many. She was the 2004 Work Horse of the Year and the 2012 Show Person of Year for the NYS Showpeople's Association and the Association President from 2010-12; she was trustee and assistant marshal for Order of the Eastern Star Morning Star 289. In addition, she was a member of OABA, IISA, and NICA. She was predeceased by her mother Alice in 2002. Besides being a dog mom, her passion for life was her devotion to her husband and family. Angel is survived by her husband of 26 years, Corey Ward; her sons Cody and Cameron; her daughter Allison; her brothers Avery L., Arthur D. and Alan G. (Stefanie) Wheelock; her father Avery (Melanie) Wheelock; many nieces and nephews; and her five 4 legged children. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 pm at B.L. Bush & Sons Funeral Home, 10 W. Genesee St., Camillus. An O.E.S. service will be held during calling hours. Services will be Saturday 11 am at Amboy Belle Isle United Church. Burial will be in Belle Isle Cemetery.
