Karin J. Stromberg, 76, of N. Syracuse passed away Sunday, Oct. 1 peacefully at home. Born in Pleasantville, NY she attended Keuka College. She married, raised her three children and enjoyed many happy years together with her family. Karin’s favorite place was the 1000 Islands in the St. Lawrence River where she enjoyed many happy times with family and friends throughout the years. She believed “The River” had a power which could renew your soul. Prior to being stricken with arthritis she was very active and enjoyed water skiing, tennis and snow skiing. Karin always maintained a positive attitude toward life. She was well known where she lived at Malta House, and at the CNY PACE Program where she could be found most days. She will be missed by her fellow residents, CNY PACE participants and the Loretto staff. She is predeceased by her sister Patricia Lerchenfeld (Erich). She is survived by two sons Brett (Betsy) Williams; Erik (Janet) Williams; a daughter Svea (Ed) Cook; seven grandchildren Joshua and Sarah Williams, Kyle Williams, Jennifer (Shane) Nesrsta, Stephanie (Ryan) Washo, Emily and Teddy Cook; three great grandchildren Devin, Sophia and Alyssa; her sisters Svea “Bunny” (Joe) Morgan and Greta Stromberg, and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017, 2:00 pm at the B.L. Bush & Sons Funeral Home, 10 W. Genesee St., Camillus, NY. The family would like to thank Loretto, especially its staff at Malta House and CNY PACE, for providing Karin with a community to be a part of as well as the wonderful care she received providing quality of life, dignity and the support needed for her to live comfortably.
