Robert W. “Bob” Walker, 87, of Liverpool passed away Friday, November 2nd at St. Joseph Hospital. Born in Elmira the son of James H. and Myrtle (Clark) Walker he graduated from Southside High School and served in US Navy during WWII where he received the Purple Heart. He married Virginia Doane in her family’s home in 1947. Robert retired from NYS DMV after 25 years and was an avid hunter, fisherman and long time member of the American Legion. He was predeceased by his sister Doris Talada formerly of Sayre, PA. Surviving are his wife Virginia; three daughters, Gloria (Richard) Tubbs of Candor, NY, Kathleen (Joseph) DeYulio of Syracuse, and Roberta (Frank) Halas of Cicero; two brothers James, Jr. and Earl Walker; a sister Ruth Dinsmore; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Calling hours are 11 am to 1 pm Monday with services at 1 pm at B.L. Bush & Sons, 10 Genesee (Main) St, Camillus. Burial with military honors will be in Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery.
