Amy J. Scicchitano

Amy J. Scicchitano, 68, of the Village of Camillus, passed away peacefully at home on July 13th, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in North Tarrytown, NY, on July 29th, 1957, to the late Robert Jr & Judith (Colby) Jackson, Amy moved to Camillus at the age of nine when her Father’s career relocated the family to the area. She grew up in the local community, graduating from West Genesee High School in 1975 and later attending Powelson Business School. In 1978, Amy married her high school sweetheart, Dan. The young couple soon moved to Biloxi, Mississippi, while Dan served in the U.S. Air Force. In 1981, they returned home to Camillus to plant roots and raise their family. Amy went on to build a dedicated, 28-year career as a loan officer at SECNY Federal Credit Union, from which she recently retired. Amy’s faith and community were cornerstone pillars of her life. She was a parishioner at Immanuel United Methodist Church for 60 years, where she was a devoted and active volunteer, teaching Sunday School for many years. Additionally, Amy was a woman of many talents and passions. She had an immense love for photography, and spent hours crafting beautiful ceramics. She enjoyed taking day trips to explore regional waterfalls and local wineries, playing tennis and pickleball, and gathering her family for games nights. Amy was also a wonderful baker, famously known by her loved ones for her spectacular birthday cakes and cherished Christmas cookies. Most memorable was her uniquely dry sense of humor, which brought joy to those who knew her best. Above all else, Amy loved her family immensely. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert Jr. and Judith Jackson, and her beloved husband, Dan. She leaves behind her four children, whom she loved more than anything: Daniel (Jessica), Nathan, Victoria (Gary), and Sarah (Eric) as well as her cherished grandchildren Casey, Cordelia, Declan, and Danica. Private services will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery in Warners. A celebration of life service will be planned for later this year to honor Amy's memory. Arrangements are under the care of B.L. Bush & Sons Funeral Home, Camillus. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Amy’s memory to the Immanuel United Methodist Church, 303 Kasson Road, Camillus, NY 13031.
