Patricia Ann Binns

Patricia Ann Binns, 73, of Camillus went to be with our Lord and Savior Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Upstate University Hospital. She passed very peacefully with her family by her side holding her hand. Born in Syracuse to William and Arlene (Steinbach) Farrell, Patricia was a longtime Camillus resident and graduate of West Genesee High School, class of 1965. She was a stay-at-home mom until her children were in school. She earned the righteous title of "kool-aid mom". Watching the neighborhood kids as well as her own was always special to her. She then began her career in banking at Solvay Bank, retiring in 2019 after 34 years of service. She was a member of the Westhill ladies golf league for many years and enjoyed playing golf as well as her "Birthday Club" outings with the girls. She loved to shop and would never miss a Mackenzie Childs Barn sale. In her later years, she discovered a passion for casinos - an activity she really loved, and her husband tolerated. Her greatest love of all was her family who she loved fiercely. Her five grandchildren were the light of her life and she worked tirelessly at spoiling them. She would never miss a game, concert, school function or dance recital. She was their biggest fan! Patricia is survived by her husband of 49 years, Dean; her son Christopher (Elizabeth); her daughter Deanna (Cory) Nicolette, her grandchildren, Zachary, Faith, Sophia, Kendel and Mason; her sister Joanne Forner of Bel Air, MD and her brother Michael Farrell of Cicero. She had many nieces and nephews. Her family would like to extend their eternal gratitude to her angel nurses on Floors 10E and 10H for their extraordinary and loving care given to her these past weeks. It was truly above and beyond. Calling hours will be Thursday April 22nd from 5 to 8 pm at B.L Bush and Sons, 10 Genesee St., Camillus. A memorial service will be held Friday morning at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
